Rob launched the CULLISSE Collection in early summer 2011 after qualifying as a solicitor in Edinburgh and returning to his farming routes in the Highlands of Scotland. He first witnessed the simplicity of cold pressing in 2006 on a visit to a small village in Kenya where he met a lady who was producing sunflower oil with a machine funded by the charity FARM-Africa. Seeing an opportunity to direct market a quality product straight from the farm, Rob completed his legal training and set about fulfilling his dream of creating a fine food collection.
The signature product in Rob's fledgling collection is the premium quality CULLISSE Highland Rapeseed Oil, which is gently cold pressed from seed grown on the Mackenzie family farms and hand bottled and labeled by Rob himself who is one of the fourth generation of the family to produce food at Cullisse.
The most northerly produced cold pressed rapeseed oil on the market today, CULLISSE Highland Rapeseed Oil is gently pressed without heat or additives, so retaining all the naturally healthy properties nurtured in the seed pods during the extra long days of light which distinguish a Highland summer.
